Dane Spangler

landscape photography

In an age where digital manipulation can make anything possible, I want to find “impossible” moments that are real: to present images that remind us that the natural world is an awesome luminous story, a dynamic living entity of wonder and power. The rainbow is real.

Dane began shooting photography professionally in 2003. The photographs “Roots” & “Rainbow at Dead Horse Point” were juried into international exhibitions at the The Center for Fine Art Photography in Ft. Collins, CO. in (2004 & 2008). Dane’s photography has also appeared in various galleries throughout the western US including: Amoré Gallery, Taos NM; The Link Gallery, Cheyenne, WY; Blue Horse Gallery, Estes Park, CO; Moab Artworks, Moab, UT and at Umoja Gallery, Boulder, CO. Dane also has performed corporate installments: his largest is (25) aluminum-mounted images at Fresenius Medical Care Corporation Division Office in Denver, CO.

Dane is an award-winning illustrator & photographer currently living in Taos, NM. In 2003, Dane won a Webby Award- (“The internet’s highest honor” - New York Times) for digital illustration & design on the educational website exploremarsnow.org. Dane’s architectural renderings have been used to illustrate projects such as JFK International Airport, New Orleans Convention Center & One World Trade Center. His works has appeared in various publications and films including "The Mars Underground" 2012 (Scott J. Gill). Website: www.daneillustrator.com
